This qualification provides the skills and knowledge required by a team leader or other person to implement competitive systems and practices to improve efficiency in a team or work area as well as in a person's own work role. Another term frequently used in this field is lean manufacturing. The qualification packaging has been developed on an assumption that competency will be developed through a combination of on and off-the-job learning strategies.
