AusNAC - Australian Apprenticeships Centre

WORKCO Limited delivers Australian Apprenticeships Centre services through the AusNAC department.

AusNAC is part of a consortium of four companies which have been contracted to deliver Australian Apprenticeships Centre services by the Australian Government, and have been operating since 1999.

AusNAC offices are spread throughout the Central Highland region, with major processing centres in Horsham, Bendigo, Swan Hill and Wodonga. WORKCO Limited provides AusNAC services out of all of its offices in the regional area.

AusNAC provides free advice and information to employers, Australian Apprentices, job seekers and any other interested people on the Australian Apprenticeship scheme (including both apprenticeships and traineeships).

This advice includes:-

• How to employ Australian Apprentices;
• Options for employing Australian Apprentices;
• Options for training existing staff;
• Employers' role and responsibilities;
• Australian Apprentices' role and responsibilities;
• Information about government financial incentives for Employers, including Commencement and Completion incentives, and Special Incentives;
• Information about government financial incentives for Australian Apprentices, including Living Away From Home Allowance, and Commonwealth Trade Learning Scholarships;
• Information on training arrangements and contacts for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).

Apprenticeships Consultants are available to visit you at your workplace to discuss all of the above information. They also complete the sign-up for any new Australian Apprentices and register the Training Contract.
