Community Involvement

WORKCO Limited supports various sporting events and clubs, recognising the significance both on a social and health basis of sporting clubs in rural and regional Victoria. These include the Wimmera Netball Association, Melbourne Country Week in Cricket, Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay, Country Volleyball Week and local bowling clubs, to name a few.

Each year WORKCO Limited sponsor the Girls 100 metre handicap race in the Australia Post Stawell Gift - Stawell boasts the richest footrace in Australia and WORKCO Limited is proud to be associated with the event. WORKCO Limited also sponsor the Powercor Wimmera Business Awards, demonstrating the diversity of our interest and commitment to community events throughout the region.

Last year the region experienced bushfires in the Grampian regions leaving a trail of devastation with people having to rebuild homes and out-structures. The local council developed an appeal with WORKCO making a substantial donation to help those on the road to recovery.
